CALL TO ORDER
President Fran Ferguson called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. followed by a Salute to the American Flag.
NEW MEMBER
Adam Sobas introduced himself at the first meeting he was able to attend and spoke about his sculpture artwork.
SECRETARYÕs REPORT
Due to the weather Secretary Millie Bishop was absent; therefore, Dan Ferguson acted as Secretary for the meeting. Millie had sent the minutes via email to all members. Thus they were accepted as presented.
TREASURERÕs REPORT
Treasurer Dan Ferguson reported the following for the month of December 2008. Total Cash Receipts for the month were as follows: Dues $300.00, Raffle $304.00, Donation $14.89, Commission on Art Sales $1.233.00, Additional fee for Skytop $80.00 TOTAL INCOME $1,932.75
Total Cash Disbursements for month were as follows: Meeting Exp $126.60, Raffle Exp $19.94, Skytop Show Exp $649.34 and Postage $13.50
TOTAL DISBURSEMENTS <$809.38>
Total income for December <$1,123.37>
As of December 2008 we show a Balance of $26,278.99
Motion to accept TreasurerÕs Report ŌSubject to AuditÕ was made by Donna J. Israel second by Pat Transue and carried.
PRESIDENTÕS REPORT
President Fran Ferguson spoke on several issues:
DIRECTOR OF VISUAL ARTS
Pat Transue talked about the need for each of those in the Rotational Gallery to act professionally in dealing with our venues. If you cannot make a location, please call in advance to make other arrangements with the location. Four new locations were added in 2008 and two new ones are being added this month.
SPRING SKYTOP SHOW
Catherine Schratt said fifty-four vendors did about $22,500 during this yearÕs show. This was down as reported last month.
FUND RAISING
Donna J. Israel reported that things are slow during this part of the year. Donna and Dan Ferguson are working on a strategy for Grant applications for the Council.
OLD BUSINESS
Vice President Val Sagheddu spoke on three issues:
Pat Transue talked about Lake Naomi Gallery space. If interested, send 15 jpegs to Pat this month to be included in the Juror process for display at Lake Naomi.
ADJOURNMENT
Dan Ferguson made a motion to adjourn at 7:55 p.m.
RAFFLE
Donna J. Israel had a bottle of Brotherhood Holiday wine that was won by Cathy Yoost. This is a free raffle each month that Donna provides the prizes from who knows where.
