CALL TO ORDER:
President Fran Ferguson called the meeting to order at
7:05 PM. followed by the Salute to the Flag.
NEW MEMBER:
Our new members, Jorge Cruz does Stain Glass and Jayne
Novinski does Watercolor/acrylics, introduced themselves to all members
present. All Our membersÕ reciprocated by introducing themselves to them.
SECRETARIES REPORT:
Secretary Millie Bishop read the minutes of January 3rd,
2008. Motion to accept the minutes as read was made by Jane Brown second and
carried.
TREASURERÕS REPORT:
Treasurer Dan Ferguson reported the following for the
month of January 2008.
Total Cash Receipts for month: Individual Dues $175.00, Family
Dues $80.00, Business Dues $350.00, Student Dues $10.00, Commission Art Sales
$35.00.

PRESIDENTÕS REPORT
President Fran Ferguson thanked everyone for attending
the meeting.
She also thanked Pat Transue for making calls to all our
members reminding them of our meeting. Pat will make reminder calls monthly.
Fran reported our books have been checked by a CPA from Felver, Cafali and
Assoc. She also reminded everyone Cathy Yoost is working on our Artifax and
will be mailed out shortly. Our Artifax will be published four times a year.
FEBRUARY, MAY, AUGUST AND NOVEMBER.
ROTATING GALLERY:
Chair Pat Transue reported concerns as some members are
not bringing their Paintings and Photos to the assigned companies. Pat asks to
please call her at least a week before the assigned date if you can not make
it. In this way she can try to get a replacement by calling other members of
the Rotating Gallery. She also explained the fundamentals of how the Rotating
Gallery works to all members present.
ART DIRECTOR:
President Fran Ferguson reported Barbara Haggert will not
be able to do the ChildrenÕs Art Show, February 1st thru March 29th,
at Advanced Radiology.
Cecilia Primero is taking charge of this event and will
need many volunteers.
PUBLIC RELATIONS
DIRECTOR:
President Fran Ferguson reported Ursula Pooley will be in
charge of Publicity. All members who are to chair an event must send Ursula at
least eight weeks prior to the event all information for publication. She will
need Name and Date of the event the Time Schedules and Name and Address of
venue. You should also submit any
other information you feel is important you want put in the publication.

FUND RAISING DIRECTOR:
Donna Israel Handed out slips of paper to each member for
this months drawing which takes place at the end of our meeting. This month
Donna had a Jokers hat with its many colors and little bells hanging from its
many peaks. After putting your name on the slip of paper and dropping it into
the hat, one name was picked and the winner of this months drawing was
Chairwomen of the Board Catherine Schratt. Donna presented her with a $10.00 gift certificate to the
Jubilee Restaurant. Donna will hold a drawing every month. Come to our meetings
the first Thursday of the month at 7PM and join the fun and many laughs. Our
next meeting will be March 6th, at 7PM. Come, you may be our next
winner.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS:
Chairwomen of the Board Catherine Schratt reported the
Board is in need of an accountant or a retired accountant as stated in our
BY-Laws. If you know of an accountant that would be interested in joining the
Board please contact her.
Catherine also reported her term on the Board was up as
was Dan Mc DavittÕs.
The Board held an election and Catherine and Dan were
voted in again. They will hold the same positions and each will hold three year
terms.
OLD BUSINESS;
MOUNTAIN TOP: June Schott spoke in Chair Pat BakerÕs
absence. Pat needs volunteers for this event, scheduled for July 6, 2008. You

LAKE NAOMI CLUB HOUSE: Chair Pat Transue thanked everyone
who sent her copies of their work with a Bio. This is a Juried show. Pat is
going to meet with them next week to go over all the details.

President Fran Ferguson handed out a 2008 tentative
schedule of events and went over the schedule with all members present. Below

MEADOWBROOK INN:
June Schott spoke with Laura Orvieto of the Meadowbrook
Inn regarding the one day Art Show Laura wants us to have September 14th.
As this will be an outdoor show,
June will discuss a rain date with Laura. More information will be fourth-
coming.
NORTHHAMPTON COMMUNITY COLLEGE:
Treasurer Dan Ferguson reported on the many programs the
college offers. In July and August our art teachers can use the art classrooms.
The only draw back with working in the college is you must have a MasterÕs Degree.
They have a new program named ÒNew HorizonsÓ in a building under renovation on
611 in Tannersville. Our Teachers will be able to use these facilities free of
charge. Dan also would like to advise all teachers who want to participate tell
the officers of PMAC so we can know your schedule and availability.
Donna Israel stated if you are a teacher and wish to
participate and hold classes. Send her some information, what you will charge
each student and the supplies you will need. In this way she will work on
getting grants.

JOURNAL OF THE POCONO PLATEAU:
Vice President Valerie Sagheddu mentioned she is in
consent contact with the Journal as they feature an artist of the month. If you
wish to participate, send her a picture of yourself and a Bio.
WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP:
Linford Werkheiser spoke regarding a nine day, three hour
Watercolor Workshop for $70.00. This will be held at the St. Johns Lutheran
Church, Tuesday July 24th thru August 19th, from 9PM to
Noon. For more information contact Linford.
