PRESIDENTŐS REPORT
President Fran Ferguson reported on a closed meeting.
Listen to the news regarding the weather. If the Pocono Mountain school
district is closed or have early dismissal then we will not have a meeting. If
in doubt call her at (570) 839-7227. Also be advised we canceled our January 1st,
meeting which falls on New Years Day our meeting will be January 8th,
at 7PM.
Fran also mentioned she was in contact with Nancy Snyder
who is our liaison at Pocono Manor. Pocono Manor have new owners and Nancy is
trying her best to convince them into having an Art show.
Sanofi Meet and Greet will be held January 27th,
2009. You will receive the application from Sanofi with all the information
needed to enter the show.
Fran also mentioned, the Skytop Holiday Show. As usual
Chair Catherine Schratt did a
marvelous job. This was a great show.
Fran also received an answer from Coolbaugh County
regarding placing a storage shed on the grounds for our racks. As of this date
they have shelved this, but are coming up with other ideas.
She also reported on her meeting with the Pocono Arts
Council she attended with Pat Transue regarding the Rotating Gallery. They had
good ideas which they gave to Pat who will incorporate some ideas into our
Rotating Gallery. The meeting went very well.
Home School Show at Advanced Radiology will be February 9th
thru April 3rd. Fran is in need of volunteers.
Fran read a letter she received from Pat Transue, who had
a very bad fall, in which Pat
thanked all who helped her load her car at the Skytop Show. Pat also sent
letters
for the following events.
The Lake Naomi Show was a success. They loved our work and are getting
ready for next years show. This year they will have a meet and greet party.
Silver Arrow Gallery, located on 611 across the street
from the Tannersville Inn.
In PatŐs words this gallery is awesome. Fran read the
names of the Artist showing in the gallery. The gallery will have a meet and
greet on December 13th. Look for our advertisement on channel 13 and
our ad in the Pocono Record.

SKYTOP HOLIDAY SHOW:
Chairwomen Catherine Schratt who also chaired the Skytop

$22,500.00 dollars in sales. This was down 37% from last
year. This decline may be contributed to the bad weather we had Sunday. Artist
and Photographers dominated the show with their outstanding work.

her committee for a job very well done.
