Using guided prompts, sensory objects, and stories drawn from rural Pennsylvania history, participants will create their own original poems rooted in place and personal reflection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No prior writing experience is required. Whether you are an experienced poet or have never written a poem before, this workshop is designed to be welcoming, inspiring, and gently structured to help everyone find their voice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participants will:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Explore how spring life was experienced on a 19th-century farm<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use historical imagery, sounds, and objects to spark creativity<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Write original poetry guided by simple, supportive prompts<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Share (if they wish) in a warm, encouraging group setting<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Workshop time is from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on March 28, 2026. All materials are provided. Participants will receive a Quiet Valley pencil, feather quill (with ballpoint pen), and a writers journal.
