DESCRIPTION:Homeschool families are invited to Autumn on the Farm\, a special day featuring Quiet Valley’s Fall School Tour program. Step back in time and experience 19th-century farm life through hands-on activities and historic demonstrations designed just for homeschool students and their families. \nDuring the field trip\, participants will tour our historic farm buildings\, visit with farm animals\, attend a mini-lesson in the one-room schoolhouse\, and watch a simple machines demonstration. \nDetails & Pricing: \n\n\n$8 per student (ages 5 and up) \n\n\n$10 per adult \n\n\nEveryone attending must have a ticket \n\n\nProgram runs 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM (pack a lunch to enjoy at our picnic pavilion) \n\n\nAdvance registration required. DESCRIPTION:Our new family programming is aimed at ages 4-10 and focuses on the traditions and workings of our 1800s Pennsylvania German family farm. Each two-hour presentation will consist of an exploration of the day’s topic with visits to the historic buildings\, stories\, and activities. Following the program\, participants can receive half off same-day admission to our Historic Farm Tours. All participants must register. At least one adult must be registered per family. \n\nWhen: Thursday\, Jun 22\, 2023 from 10:00-12:00\nDescription: Have you ever wondered where honey comes from? Join us for pollinator week as we learn the purpose of bees on a farm\, the anatomy of a bee\, plant a pollinator garden\, and\, weather permitting\, release butterflies to aid in pollination.\nCost: $12 per child\, $8 per adult\nAdvanced registration must be completed by June 20.
